The Pontifical Good Friday Collection
Every year on Good Friday, Catholics worldwide are invited to contribute to the oldest collection in the Church — a direct lifeline to the parishes, schools, and hospitals that sustain the Christian presence in the Holy Land.
What the collection supports
Your Good Friday offering reaches every corner of the Holy Land. It keeps parish doors open, classrooms staffed, and hospital beds available. It funds emergency humanitarian assistance when crises strike. And it ensures that the Christian communities who have maintained a presence in the Holy Land for two millennia can continue to do so.
The collection supports five categories of need: schools and universities, parish operations, healthcare facilities, housing and elder care, and emergency response.
Schools
40+ schools, 19,000 students
Parishes
29 parishes across the Patriarchate
Hospitals
Medical care for the most vulnerable
Housing
Elder care, disability homes
Emergency
Crisis response, humanitarian aid
